Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary Draft Strategy 2020-2045
Friends of Grasslands (FOG) is a community group dedicated to the conservation of natural temperate grassy ecosystems in south-eastern Australia. FOG advocates, educates and advises on matters to do with the conservation of grassy ecosystems, and carries out surveys and other on-ground work. FOG is based in Canberra and its members include professional scientists, landowners, land managers and interested members of the public.
FOG supports the draft strategy, in particular the sections about Yellow Box-Red Gum Grassy Woodland (YBRGGW) and protecting its values. Our only comment is that, on the timeline entitled “Our Shared Past, Our Shared Future”, YBRGGW is mentioned as being listed as an endangered ecological community in 1997. Since then it has been re-listed as critically endangered (effective 2006), which should be included on this page.
