Technical Amendment to the Territory Plan Variations 2012-23 and 2012-24
FOG is a community group dedicated to the conservation of indigenous grassy ecosystems in south-eastern Australia. FOG advocates, educates and advises on matters to do with the conservation of grassy ecosystems, and carries out surveys and other on-ground work. FOG is based in Canberra and its members include professional scientists, landowners, land managers and interested members of the public.
FOG supports amendment C in Variation 2012-23, i.e. the addition to the Coombs and Wright concept plan of a rule that new developments must conform to the National Environmental Significance Plan.
FOG also supports the component of Variation 2012-24 that involves the realignment of the north-south arterial road and associated bridge crossing of the Molonglo River to protect medium to high quality pink-tailed worm lizard habitat in the river corridor.
